The YMCA of Southwest Michigan is pleased to announce Health Week at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA. Health Week will run from Sunday, October 6 – Saturday, October 12 and will feature free activities and free admission to the Y.

“It is important that we make Health Week available to our community and what better way to do that than offer free admission to the Y,” said Bits Thomas, Director of Member Experience. “We’re excited for those who have never been in our facility to see what we offer.”

Health Week will kick off with a Health and Fitness Expo in partnership with Andrews University on Sunday, October 6 from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. In addition, the Veggie Van will visit the Y on Thursday, October 10 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and offer free healthy foods and nutrition information courtesy of Spectrum Health Lakeland.

Free admission will be offered all week long. Those who enter the Y for free that week will have the same opportunities YMCA members have including the weight and cardio room (ages 16+ only), warm water therapy pool and 6 lane lap pool, group fitness classes, indoor track, gymnasium, and more.

In order to receive free admission, community members ages 16+ are required to have I.D. for entry or must be checked in with a parent or guardian. Community members ages 15 and under need a parent or guardian with them at check in.
